Meet Author and Historian H. W. Brands

 

 

Kentucky Humanities, in partnership with the Henry Clay Memorial Foundation at Ashland: The Henry Clay Estate, Tallgrass Farm Foundation, Wellcare, and the Kentucky Book Festival, will be bringing bestselling author and historian H.W. Brands to Lexington on Thursday, June 6th from 5:30-7:00pm.

 

Brands, author of Founding Partisans: Hamilton, Madison, Jefferson, Adams and the Brawling Birth of American Politics, will also discuss Kentucky's own political giant, Henry Clay who battled to complete the unfinished work of the Founding Fathers and decide the future of our democracy. Brands talks more about Clay in his best-selling novel Heir of the Founders: Henry Clay, John Calhoun and Daniel Webster, the Second Generation of American Giants.
