About the authors:

David Arnold lives in Lexington, with his (lovely) wife and (boisterous) son. He is the New York Times bestselling author of Mosquitoland, Kids of Appetite, & The Strange Fascinations of Noah Hypnotik, which has been optioned for film by Paramount. His books have been translated into over a dozen languages. Learn more at and follow him on Twitter @roofbeam and Instagram @iamdavidarnold.

Tracy Banghart grew up in rural Maryland and spent her summers on a remote island in northern Ontario. All of that isolation and lovely scenery gave her the time to read voraciously and the inspiration to write her own stories. She currently lives in Kentucky with her husband and young son. She wrote Grace and Fury while living in Hawaii. Tracy Banghart’s novels feature strong women, realistic romances, and tight female friendships. She believes in cultivating worlds where women support rather than compete with one another, and first kisses happen en route to new adventures, instead of in lieu of them.

Gwenda Bond is the author of the Lois Lane series (Fallout, Double Down, and Triple Threat), which brings the iconic comic book character front and center in her own YA novels, and the Cirque American series (Girl on a Wire, Girl Over Paris, and Girl in the Shadows), about daredevil heroines who discover magic and mystery lurking under the big top. She also co-writes the the Supernormal Sleuthing Service with her husband, author Christopher Rowe. Her first mystery project for adults, Dead Air, written with Carrie Ryan and Rachel Caine, releases in August. In 2019? Stranger Things. She also co-hosts the weekly podcast Cult Faves which is very good, you should listen to it.

Lauren Hudson is the 2017 Independent Author of the Year (Great Southwest Book Festival) and a recent graduate of Dixie Heights High School in Northern Kentucky, is the author of three books in the Ascension trilogy. She founded Crackin' the Cover, a literacy program, while in high school. Hudson attends the University of Kentucky and is a Singletary Scholar.

Shawn Pryor is the creator and co-writer of the all-ages graphic novel mystery series Cash & Carrie, writer of Kentucky Kaiju, and writer and co-creator of the YA football/drama series Force. He is a co-founder of Action Lab Entertainment, currently serving as their President of Creative Relations.
