The special issue of the Kentucky Humanities October 2008 magazine honors Abraham Lincoln's 200th birthday on February 12, 2009. This issue was mailed the week of November 17.

The KHC 2006-07 Biennial Report to the People is at the printer now and is scheduled to be mailed the week of 10/6/08.

OUR LINCOLN GALA ANNOUNCEMENT - Jul 28th, 08
The Kentucky Humanities Council will make a very important announcement Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Capitol Rotunda. Governor Steve Beshear will be joined by Congressman Ben Chandler; Dr. Everett McCorvey, Director and Executive Producer of UK Opera Theatre; Dr. Virginia Carter, Executive Director of the Kentucky Humanities Council, Inc.; Terry Mobley, representing University of Kentucky President Dr. Lee Todd; and numerous proud Kentuckians, such as Nick Clooney, who was Master of Ceremonies for Our Lincoln, which premiered to great acclaim February 10, 2008, at the Singletary Center for the Arts.
